Following our Series A raise, we are scaling globally. Marketing is central to this next phase, and we’re looking for a Marketing Director to help deepen enterprise relationships, and enable predictable revenue growth across allied markets.
As our Marketing Director, you will evolve Starboard’s marketing function into a strategic enterprise influence engine. You’ll be responsible for building brand authority, expanding engagement within priority accounts, and positioning Starboard as a trusted partner across Defence & Intelligence (D&I) and Critical Maritime Infrastructure (CMI).
This is a hands-on role, suitable for someone who enjoys strategic and execution work.

What You'll Do
- Define and execute a marketing strategy that positions Starboard as a category leader in defence and intelligence and critical maritime infrastructure
- Design and roll out an account based marketing framework aligned to enterprise and mid-market accounts
- Expand Starboard’s footprint across ISR and maritime domain programmes in allied defence markets
- Partner closely with Exec, Sales, and RevOps on account prioritisation, buying-group mapping, content strategy, and data infrastructure
- Own PR and communications with a focus on credibility, trust, and visibility particularly in the UK and US
- Build thought leadership across: Critical infrastructure resilience, Maritime risk, security, and ISR, Policy and regulatory engagement
- Manage PR, digital, and creative agencies, while building direct relationships with analysts, media, and industry bodies
- Align Marketing, Product, and Sales on positioning, roadmap messaging, and key account proof points
- Support defence bids, projects, and strategic co-marketing partnerships (e.g. S&P, Google)
- Design the marketing org and hiring plan as we scale
- Lead and develop a high-performing team and agency partners
- Contribute to ELT strategy papers, board reporting, and strategic analysis
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years in B2B or enterprise marketing, ideally in technology, defence, or intelligence-adjacent sectors
- Proven success leading enterprise key account marketing focused teams
- Strong experience partnering with Sales on long-cycle, complex deals
- Experience influencing government, defence, or highly regulated audiences
- International marketing experience where you've built brand authority in the US and UK markets
- Commercial mindset with the ability to measure marketing impact through revenue influence
