About Splash

Our mission is to bring the joy of music making to everyone, and we’ve been pioneering the intersection of artificial intelligence and music since 2017.

We’ve made significant strides in connecting artists and fans, particularly through our engaging experiences on Roblox, which have captivated millions of young users. By leveraging the power of AI, we’re reshaping the way people interact with and create music.

With the support of renowned investors including Amazon's Alexa Fund and Khosla Ventures, Splash is poised for rapid growth. We're actively expanding our diverse team of talented musicians, engineers, and creatives who share our passion for pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in music and AI.

The Role

We are hiring a Community Manager to help us connect with and grow our community of young, creative users. Working alongside our VP Marketing, Digital Project Manager, and artists, you will plan and execute a vibrant social media and content strategy that fosters engagement and builds our community.

Our audience is made up of predominantly Gen Z and Gen Alpha users; the right person will thrive in this space, showcasing a deep understanding of fresh, relevant content tactics for this audience. You will bring a balance of creativity and organization, where you can generate fun ideas while managing the details of day-to-day execution. You'll play a key role in helping manage social media channels, crafting captivating posts, and working cross-functionally to deliver content that resonates deeply with our audience in music and gaming. This role will also be integral in executing growth strategies, re-energizing our existing social platforms, and helping to engage with our community authentically.

This role will be an initial 3-month contract approx. 10-20 hours per week with the opportunity to increase and extend. Please note, our team is global, remote-first; you will be working with colleagues on an Australian timezone (not a good fit for people who prefer early morning work or anyone based on the East Coast).

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the VP Marketing, Digital Project Manager and our artists to manage social media schedules, develop content, brief designs and create engaging copy.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to collect content and create posts that our community will love and engage with.
  • Revitalize and grow our existing social media channels, including YouTube, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram, by implementing consistent, fun, and on-brand content strategies.
  • Manage day-to-day social media operations, including calendars, content pipelines, posting schedules, commenting, and community engagement.
  • Engage directly with our existing audience while implementing new growth strategies to attract new followers.
  • Bring creative ideas to the table to help drive engagement, building brand visibility in authentic and innovative ways.
  • Develop and post content tailored to a young audience, particularly Gen Z and Gen Alpha, with a focus on gamers, music lovers, and creatives.
  • Help shape consistent branding across all communication channels
  • Set goals for growth, track and analyze engagement metrics, leveraging insights to continuously improve social media performance.

About You:

  • Proven experience managing and growing social media channels, with a track record of creating engaging content for Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.
  • Strong writing skills, with a knack for crafting creative and impactful copy.
  • Ability to design and implement social media campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Familiarity with major platforms, including YouTube, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram, and their respective best practices for content and community building.
  • Experience in developing content calendars, organizing workflows, and managing the details of day-to-day execution.
  • Passion for music, gaming, or creative industries, with a deep understanding of how to connect with like-minded audiences.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with analytics tools to measure and report on social performance.
  • High level of accountability and persistence, with the ability to work independently and remotely in a global team.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of or interest in Roblox Games.
  • Passion for music and/or experience in the industry.
  • Experience marketing direct to consumer software products.
  • Experience working and managing gaming communities.

What to Expect:

  • Our team is remote-first; you will be working with colleagues on Australian timezone and some degree of overlap with this team is expected.
  • Work alongside our CEO, who brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous roles at Soundcloud, Spotify, Twitch, and YouTube.
  • We may be small, but we're backed by leading investors including Amazon’s Alexa Fund, Khosla Ventures, BITKRAFT Ventures, and King River Capital.
  • Be part of a talented and highly dynamic team that values initiative and imagination – we also love music.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

Music has the incredible ability to bridge divides and bring people together, regardless of their background or identity. Like the industry we work within, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered. We actively seek out and welcome voices from all backgrounds and believe that diverse perspectives fuel our creativity and drive success.
