The Role 🥳
We’re hiring for a Senior Software Engineer with mobile/ cross-platform development expertise to help us build a new mobile application experience. This is an opportunity to take ownership of core mobile experiences end-to-end, work with a modern React Native + Expo stack, and directly influence a category-defining AI product.
You’ll work on features that empower users to interact with AI agents on the go, bringing previously web-only capabilities to mobile, and craft seamless cross-platform experiences used globally. Your work will reach customers within hours, giving you the rare ability to see the impact of your decisions in real time.
You’ll have the autonomy and trust to lead major initiatives, collaborate closely with design and product, and establish best practices for mobile development at Relevance AI.
Your Impact 💥
Lead major initiatives within the development of our new mobile application using React Native and Expo, delivering polished, performant, and reliable experiences across iOS and Android.
Work closely with product and design to translate concepts into intuitive, beautiful, and high-quality mobile interfaces.
Own features end-to-end, from shaping technical approach to implementing to testing to deploying to the App Store and Play Store.
Drive architectural decisions around navigation, state management, performance optimisation, offline support, and API integration.
Collaborate with backend and platform teams to define mobile-friendly APIs and ensure seamless cross-platform behaviour.
Mentor other engineers, sharing best practices in mobile development and contributing to a high-performance engineering culture.
Push the boundaries of AI UX on mobile, helping define how users interact with agents, automation, and complex workflows on smaller screens.

What We’re Looking For 🧠
5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally within fast-paced, high-growth tech environments, with at least 2+ years focussed on mobile development (iOS preferred).
Strong expertise in React Native and Expo, including building, shipping, and maintaining apps in production.
Solid understanding of cross-platform complexities, including navigation, animations, performance, and device differences.
Thrive in dynamic, high-performance start up settings and comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and taking initiative.
Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects, solve complex problems, and consistently deliver high-quality, impactful results.
Deep interest in AI interfaces, chat experiences, and agent-driven workflows.
Regularly use AI tools to improve efficiency, productivity, or code quality.
Bonus Points if You Have Any Of The Following ⭐
Experience integrating with complex backend systems or designing mobile optimised APIs.
Prior work on apps with real-time data, notifications, or multimedia.
Contributed to open-source projects (show us your GitHub!).
Knowledge of AI workflows, LLMs, or agent-based systems.
