Role at a Glance:
As an SEO Content Specialist, you will play a critical role in executing Paystand’s SEO strategy—creating, optimizing, and scaling content that drives qualified organic traffic and supports conversion goals. You will manage a network of freelance writers, maintain high content standards, and use SEO tools and AI-assisted workflows to ensure our pages perform and rank across key verticals.
You’ll be part of a high-impact SEO team focused on content-led growth, organic authority, and site experience excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute content strategies focused on high-value keyword opportunities in collaboration with the SEO Manager.
- Write, edit, and optimize SEO content for blogs, landing pages, and product pages.
- Manage freelance writers by delivering detailed briefs, providing editorial oversight, and ensuring alignment with SEO and brand guidelines.
- Use AI tools like ChatGPT to support brief generation, outline structuring, and optimization scoring.
- Continuously improve and update existing content based on performance data, competitive SERP shifts, and algorithm changes.
- Implement content in the CMS (HubSpot) and ensure best practices are followed for on-page SEO.
- Run content audits and recommendations using SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console to identify ranking gaps and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with design, development, and marketing ops to improve UX, layout, and conversion potential of content pages.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in SEO content writing, editing, and optimization (preferably in B2B SaaS)
- Hands-on experience managing and scaling freelance content operations.
- Strong grasp of keyword research, SERP analysis, and user intent mapping.
- Familiarity with AI SEO tools and their application to content ideation and optimization.
- Experience using Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, structure, and actionability.
- Comfortable working in CMS platforms and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Bonus: familiarity with basic HTML, schema, or CRO tools is a plus.
