About Ofload and Our Mission

FreightTech is one of the most exciting spaces to be in right now, with the opportunity to transform one of the largest industries. Freight in Australia is a $66 billion market, yet it is analogue and has many inefficiencies: 30% of the time, trucks drive empty. Networks lack transparency, data flows are fragmented, and smaller transport operators face barriers to competing with the big players.

At Ofload, we’re changing how the freight industry operates and bringing it into the digital world. We leverage technology, data, and strategic partnerships to connect a growing roster of blue-chip customers with smaller, highly efficient transport operators. By reducing empty truck miles, improving visibility, and optimising supply chains, we’re driving smarter, greener, and more efficient operations that benefit businesses and the environment.

This isn’t just logistics—it’s FreightTech: a tech-powered transformation of an industry that is the backbone of the economy and touches everyone’s lives.

Why Join Ofload?

Joining Ofload means being part of a high-growth scaleup. It means working alongside motivated, ambitious individuals who are passionate about disrupting the status quo and making a real impact. At Ofload, we combine the agility of a tech startup with the impact of tackling a massive, real-world problem. If you’re ready to be part of an ambitious team reshaping the freight future, we want to hear from you.

About the role:

As Chief of Staff, you will partner closely with the CEO & Founder to turn priorities into progress. Your role is to bring focus, pace, and clarity to the most important initiatives across the business.

You’ll lead high-impact, cross-functional work that moves the company forward — from driving strategic projects to improving the operating rhythm of the leadership team. You’ll help connect teams, align priorities, and make sure the right work happens at the right time as Ofload scales.

This role sits at the centre of the business. You’ll have visibility across teams, work directly with senior leaders, and play a critical role in driving outcomes that support Ofload’s growth and strategic priorities.

You’re curious by nature — a sponge for learning, able to quickly absorb information, connect the dots, and turn insight into action.

You’ll work in lockstep with the CEO and Founder. This isn’t a traditional 9–5 role — it’s an opportunity to operate at the heart of a scaling company. It will suit someone curious, pragmatic, and highly driven, who wants to learn fast, build influence, and make a meaningful impact in the startup and scale-up ecosystem.

  • Run due diligence, model out scenarios, and manage internal task forces to accelerate key outcomes

Leadership Enablement

  • Support CEO, C Suite & LT’s effectiveness through coaching, feedback loops, and structured forums

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5–10+ years’ experience in fast-paced, high-performance environments (incl. strategy, top-tier law firm, investment banking, business operations, or Chief of Staff roles in a tech or high-growth environment)
  • Business/ Founder Mindset: Comfortable moving at pace between seamless high-level thinking and hands-on execution
  • People Influence: You know how to inspire, mobilise, and align teams toward a common goal.
  • Discretion & Trust: Operates with a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment, especially in sensitive business decisions.
  • Strategic Agility: Able to connect dots across functions, anticipate roadblocks, and help the business navigate through inflection points.
