About the role

We’re on the lookout for a proactive and eager-to-learn Finance & Accounting Assistant to support our growing Finance team across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and core accounting functions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent accounting graduate who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and make an impact in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll gain broad exposure, be supported by experienced mentors, and play a hands-on role in the day-to-day running of our finance operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Accounts Payable (AP): Support invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and timely payments while ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist with customer invoicing, payment allocation, and follow-ups on outstanding balances.
• Performance Analysis: Help track financial KPIs, prepare variance analysis, and assist in monthly business reviews.
• Month-End Reporting: Assist with month-end close activities including preparation of P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, helping to identify inefficiencies and support automation or system enhancements.
• Support ad hoc projects and tasks across the Finance team as needed.

About you

• You’ve recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• You’re keen to start or are already working towards your CPA or CA
• You have strong attention to detail and a basic understanding of accounting principles
• You’re confident using Excel and open to learning new systems
• You’re organised, proactive, and not afraid to ask questions or offer ideas
• You enjoy working with others and can communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance colleagues
• You’re based in Sydney and have full working rights in Australia
