Who you are
Metropolis is seeking a Safety Coordinator to provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration of our safety, health, and environmental programs. In this role, you will assist the Safety team in developing and implementing health and safety initiatives across all business units to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. The ideal candidate will act as a partner to our operating units, analyzing risk trends and building a robust safety culture that empowers our teams to operate safely and efficiently. This position requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to travel approximately 25% of the time within the United States and Canada.
What you'll do
- Drive operational implementation of safety initiatives and processes to build an organization-wide safety culture
- Analyze risk information to identify trends, prioritize initiatives, and evaluate performance
- Evaluate and distribute dashboards and metrics that measure the effectiveness of safety and training programs
- Collaborate with operating units to support compliance and monitor adherence to Metropolis safety policies
- Research and draft new policies and guidelines in accordance with OSHA and DOT regulations
- Utilize the Risk Management Information System to analyze statistics and facilitate timely sharing of incident information
- Review safety practices to ensure they are current and conduct regular hazard and risk assessments
- Provide recommendations to Risk Management to amend safety policies and procedures as necessary
- Track ongoing safety programs and provide periodic evaluations of safety statistics
- Promote safety and health awareness across the organization to improve systems and impact operations positively
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of federal and state safety, health, and DOT regulations and standards
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time within the United States and Canada
- Experience developing and implementing environmental health and safety programs across diverse business units
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and develop necessary guidelines
- Ability to communicate safety performance metrics effectively to all levels of the organization
- Experience supporting organizational compliance with regulatory agency guidelines
- Ability to enhance the knowledge and skills of location managers to improve safety systems
- Professional expertise in safety and health administration
- Experience prioritizing initiatives based on rigorous evaluation of safety performance
While not required, these are a plus:
- 0-2 years of safety and health experience
- Experience creating digital media such as videos for internal safety communications

When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. The anticipated base salary for this position is $65,000.00 USD to $75,000.00 USD annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis' total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans, and more. #LIAW1 #LI-Onsite
