Who you are
Metropolis is seeking a Director of Product, Client Insights & Reporting to lead the strategy, vision, and execution of our end-to-end reporting ecosystem. This role is responsible for transforming reporting from a necessary function into a strategic product advantage—one that clients love, rely on, and point to as a reason they choose Metropolis over competitors. Client reporting and insights are among the most important and visible products we deliver to our commercial, airport, and municipal partners. These clients depend on us for accurate, timely, auditable financial and operational data. Our ability to provide clear, trustworthy, high-quality insights is central to how we earn trust, demonstrate value, and operate at enterprise scale. As Director, you will own the entire reporting and insights ecosystem end-to-end: the long-term product strategy, roadmap, data standards, governance processes, and quality metrics that define how we deliver transparency to clients. You will be accountable for the reliability, accuracy, and clarity of the insights and reporting products across all Metropolis-operated assets.
What you'll do
- Define and drive the long-term product strategy for client insights and reporting, ensuring the ecosystem delivers transparency, accuracy, and trust at scale
- Own the roadmap for all client-facing reports, dashboards, and data transparency tools, prioritizing the initiatives that deliver the highest client and business impact
- Establish and enforce data definitions, metric standards, data contracts, SLAs, and quality controls necessary to operate reporting as a mission-critical product
- Partner deeply with Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, and Launch to build reliable, scalable reporting products that unify complex, heterogeneous data sources
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of client workflows—especially in commercial, airport, and municipal environments—and ensure reporting aligns with how clients analyze performance and make decisions
- Drive predictable and high-quality execution across teams, ensuring reporting products ship reliably with clear explanations and auditable behavior
- Serve as the internal and external authority on reporting and insights, presenting roadmap, changes, and capabilities to senior leaders and enterprise clients
- Build and reinforce the governance, processes, and operating discipline required to run reporting as a strategic product capability
What we're looking for
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Operations, Business Intelligence, Data Products, or related fields, including 4+ years in a senior or director-level product leadership role
- Proven success owning strategy, roadmap, and execution for data-intensive, client-facing products—ideally reporting, analytics, financial transparency, or operational insights tools
- Strong data literacy and comfort working with data models, schemas, metric definitions, SQL (writing or reviewing), and Modern BI/analytics environments
- Experience leading cross-functional efforts across Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Customer teams
- Demonstrated ability to create clarity and structure in complex operational environments, and to drive consistency across multiple systems and data sources
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills—able to translate complex data behaviors into clear explanations for clients, executives, and technical teams
- Experience working with enterprise clients, government agencies, airports, logistics operators, or similar sophisticated partners is strongly valued
- Background in operationally complex, data-rich environments such as mobility, logistics, transportation, marketplaces, fintech, or enterprise SaaS analytics is highly relevant
While not required, these are a plus:
- Domain experience in parking, transportation, or mobility
