Cover Genius is seeking a highly experienced and strategic VP of Marketing to lead our global marketing initiatives. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong track record in enterprise B2B marketing, particularly within long sales cycles. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in evolving our market positioning, building and leading a high-performing team, and developing and executing comprehensive marketing playbooks to drive significant growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Brand Positioning & Communications: Drive the evolution of Cover Genius's brand positioning and ensure consistent, impactful communication across all channels.
  • Team Building & Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration: Act as a connector, working closely with sales, product, and other teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Content Factory Scaling: Oversee the scaling of content production, with a focus on case studies, data-driven stories, and customer marketing.
  • Multi-channel Campaign Orchestration: Strategically plan and execute integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Global Team Management: Manage and align marketing efforts across different regions.
  • Marketing Playbook Development & Execution: Design and implement robust marketing playbooks, focusing on high-impact areas such as:
  • Brand, PR, Influencer Marketing & Thought Leadership: Create and disseminate data-driven stories and trends to establish Cover Genius as a thought leader.
  • Industry/Vertical Marketing: Develop and deploy tailored solutions, messaging, content, and campaigns for specific verticals (travel, ticketing, digital commerce) to drive win rates and revenue.
  • Demand Generation & Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Lead digital campaigns and multi-channel ABM plays to generate pipeline and engage top-tier prospects.
  • Events: Elevate Cover Genius's presence at industry conferences and organize proprietary vertical-focused events.
  • Digital & Social Campaigns: Intensify digital marketing efforts through LinkedIn insights, SEO/AI-SEO content, video explainers, and targeted ads.
  • Product Marketing: Ensure effective presentation of offerings (messaging, website, decks, images, videos) for products and technology that span verticals.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven enterprise B2B marketing experience with a deep understanding of long sales cycles.
  • A demonstrated track record in industry-based marketing and successful Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs.
  • Strong capabilities in strategic brand positioning and communications.
  • Extensive experience in building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
  • International experience, particularly in EMEA and/or US markets.
  • A strong "Get Stuff Done" / player-coach mentality – you're ready to roll up your sleeves and lead by example.
  • Experience at similar-stage growth startups.
  • Exceptional team and cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in multi-channel campaign orchestration.
  • Experience scaling content production, especially case studies, data-driven stories, and customer marketing.
  • Expertise in executive event marketing.
  • Proficiency with AI marketing tools and strategies.
  • Bonus Points If You Have:
  • A Fintech background.
  • Expertise in Marketing Operations, including marketing attribution.
  • Experience with enterprise platform marketing.

*The cash compensation range for this role is $220,000 - $300,000. Compensation will vary based on experience.
